HPHT monitoring is a
specialised well control instrument package designed for rigs
with 15,000psi rated equipment, operating in fields with high
wellhead pressures and temperatures.
HPHT systems monitor &
record upstream & downstream pressure and temperatures of
the Choke & Kill manifold, standpipe & BOP. Typically:
- 4 Temperature Loops -
Choke, Buffer, Flowline & BOP
- 3 Pressure Loops - Choke,
Kill, Buffer & BOP
- Strip Tank Level - a
dedicated stripping tank is sometimes included.
- Liquid seal monitoring is
often included
The panel shown
(right) incorporates the following
- Liquid seal monitor &
alarm
- Manifold temps &
pressures
- BOP temp & pressure
- Pump stroke counter
All systems and component
equipment is designed and manufactured to operate in Zone 1
areas as required.
