Leg Length Monitoring System for 3 or 4 legged jack-up is typically for Safe area operation it provides data on the leg length deployed below deck level in either feet or metres.

The basic system includes digital displays.  A PC station can also be added and developed as a Marine Monitoring Data System.  A 15" TFT screen can display leg length deployment with a printer being included for hard copies.

With the PC option the system archives leg length deployment data to enable event analysis.  Screen Display software includes rig mimics of individual leg lengths deployed, relative deployment of each leg, jacking motor positions and rotations and deck angle if the inclinometer option is taken.

Additional Marine data can readily be added and displayed, such as Air Gap, Hull Draft, Deck Inclination, Meteorological conditions, Pre-Load tank data, Bulk Tank data.

Typical System Description

  • 3-off jacking motor Shaft Encoders 

  • Stainless Steel enclosure, housing PLC

  • UPS to save the displayed data and power the system for a minimum period of up to 30 minutes

  • PC station

  • Printer

  • Software and Operating licence

  • Alarms can be set on any parameter
